BiliNEST

Participant Information Sheets

The Participant Information Sheet (PIS) is a 4-page double-sided document that explains BiliNEST to parents / carers using plain English (or the required translated language).

A parent or responsible carer must have been given this prior to enrollment, as well as having a verbal explanation, so that they are appropriately informed when considering whether or not to opt out.

When offering parents the information sheet, do mention that they can choose from multiple languages (even if speaking in English) as they may prefer to read in their primary language.

NB: Even if parents opt out of the main study, please encourage them to consider filling the survey or expressing an interest in the focus groups / semi-structured interviews, via the codes at the end.

Follow the links or QR codes below to access printable copies of the Participant Information Sheet in all available languages:

If you are finding a significant number of parents that require a language that is not available, please raise this with your Local Lead or REACH Regional Co-ordinator. We may be able to add a translation during data collection periods, if needed.

QR codes for the parent survey are included at the end of the sheet in all languages.

A QR code for parents to express an interest in participating in a focus group or semi-structured interview is at the end of all sheets.  Please be aware that the Expression of Interest Form these codes link to, is in English only as we cannot provide in-person translation services currently. Therefore, these will mainly be accessible for parents who have at least a conversational level of English.
