REACH was founded by members of the London School of Paediatrics Academic Sub-Group in 2020. Our organisation was created in response to an anecdotal lack of research opportunities for Resident Doctors within Paediatrics in London. In parallel, we aimed to embed an effective network across London for robust research, quality improvement and service evaluation relevant to our local population. The Central Committee was formed in 2021, launching our first project, the FIRE Study, in 2022. We have since recruited 26 hospital sites across London, with Resident Doctor and Consultant leads at each site carrying out REACH projects.
